NWS for Magic Mountain

7-Day weather.

Happy St Patrick's Day! The Luck of the Irish has certainly been with us this March with a huge pot of snow! It's going to be a bit chillier and a bit sunnier than recent days--plus the wind kicked up during the night, so conditions will be a bit more variable as well depending on the trail and its exposure. Overall, Magic has great packed powder, groomed and stashes of powder conditions across the mountain. The Red Chair will spin at 8:45am and will go to 5pm as we take advantage of the extra daylight--Saturdays only go to 5p from here on out in the spring. Black Chair will spin at 9:30. Brownie has been out grooming much of the East Side for some unbelieveably soft corduroy turns on Magic's fun intermediate and easier terrain. Wizard on the West Side, plus Broomstick has also been groomed and a partial groom on Talisman. The terrain park handle tow and the magic carpet lift in the beginner area will be ready by 9:30am. Tubing begins at 11am and goes to 7pm. As always, ski with care in woods and along sides of trails as natural and man-made obstacles exist, including hidden snowmaking pipes, equipment and hydrants that have been covered by recent heavy snow.
